It's the simplest, quickest to setup, and best sounding of all the different Crossfeed components and VST plugins I have tried. Just wanted to say the more I use Cases's simple Meier Crossfeed component, the happier I am!.- MathAudio Headphone EQ (only activate the crossfeed, keep the rest off) - BS2B (I like the customized Roon settings = Hz cut frequency with default db or just 1 db feed level) TB Isone is nice but not really just a crossfeed. It sounds alive and tight and finally it fulfills the promise of a non fatiguing crossfeed! wow. The last player that had the best crossfeed plugin was J River's own standard crossfeed plugin but this one takes the cake IMO.On headphones the stereo image will be much wider. Most music is recorded so it sounds good on speakers. Crossfeed is an attempt to ’emulate’ speaker stereo somewhat where the stereo image itself is in front of you and not to the left and right. Crossfeed will ‘narrow’ the Left-Right effect and make the image smaller. As the name suggests this crossfeed is very natural, is simple in its operation, and does not result in anemic bass.Įxplanation of original implementation by Meier: Case's Meier Crossfeed for Foobar: An excellent simulation of Meier Audio's natural crossfeed filter. As for settings well, it comes with three presets, 0, 1, & 2. The idea is to simulate listening to loudspeakers where, even though the sound - a finger snap for instance - only comes from the left channel your right ear hears it too but with a very slight delay.Ĭrossfeed attempts to replicate this fact.Play with frequency F and level to adjust to your own head for a sound coming at 30°/45° in front (same as from a loudspeaker) instead of inside your head. Now pan completely to left or right and click on/off the crossfeed button.
